Android Playground is a product / interface concept developed during a project sponsored by Google Android. My teammates Caitlin Conlen, Michele Lee, Chase Morrison, Cindy Hu and I worked together to develop new interface systems focused on seniors of the future.
The Playground system is designed to be approachable and learnable in order to bridge the technology gap often experienced by seniors. Through an expandable screen and a natural artificial intelligence system, Playground helps foster better technological experiences that can play a more meaningful role in the life of seniors. We researched the daily habits and the physical and mental processes of aging to discover the evolving needs of our user group. We realized that our product needed to be intuitive to use and adaptable to different stages of aging.
The small screen of the device allows users to check notifications, take photos, and access Autumn, the device's artificial intelligence system. The screen is expandable to tablet size for full-scale usability.
